Labs know, the dirty truth of it, there is nothing they can do to correct for poor opticianry. Yet we see it every day, opticians complaining about their labs for making lenses that are “too thick”. This course will present a complete study of one job and how each modification of that job, from material index to center thickness, impacts the overall thickness and cosmetics of the finished eyewear. You might be surprised to learn which factors are of key importance and how much is under your control. We will also discuss free form digital lenticularization as a secondary thinning technique.
